I rode pro rodeo for a bunch of years and my body has taken a beating and now I'm plagued with constant pain. I have seen a lot of pain doctors over the years and Okezie is hands down the best I've ever seen. Not one of those script pushers, he actually cares and does everything he can to get to the problem and provide true relief. Seeing him and his staff is like hanging out with your friends. I changed from another doctor to Dr O! Best decision I made, from the front desk to the providers are the best! If you have any problems they take care of it right away. The front desk goes above to help you as much as they can. The providers and doctor are top notch! You would be crazy not to request to be a patient !

My mother is a regular patient here and had a 10 minute procedure scheduled for 9:15 in the morning…we arrived at 9:00. We waited in the waiting room until around 11:00 (2 hours), at which time we were taken back to a room. 15 minutes later a nurse came in to place her IV for her procedure. Another 30 minutes later another nurse came in to go over her procedure with her. At 12:30 (3.5 hours), we were still waiting in a regular room. No word from anyone in the office about why things were taking so long. At around 1:00 (4 hours), the front office personnel came in and said she was taking her to the room where she would have her 10-minute procedure. She did not have it when she took her back, as it was 2:00 before my mother was done. We were in this office for 5 HOURS!!! Unacceptable! I heard the staff telling other patients that the reason the wait is so long is because they don’t have enough rooms…maybe that’s a sign that there are too many patients scheduled in too little of a time frame! I also heard a PA tell a patient “You can stay on my schedule but I need you to be here on time”….what??? So, the doctor/PA’s time is more precious than the patient they are treating? This is a pain management office. My mother walked in there with very little pain that day BUT left in terrible pain as she had sat and waited 5 HOURS to have a simple procedure in the office. Something needs to be done about the wait time in this office. She has waited 1-2 hours on a regular basis and that is unacceptable. We will be looking for another doctor.

I have been with Doc. Okeasie for years now. The staff is outstanding and takes good care of me.

Dr. Okezie is an AMAZING physician. He does not just put you on medication, he listens to your issue and provides the best care plan your body would benefit from. Medication is not always the answer for your situation. He explains every medication reason and purpose of the medication he prescribes you so you know exactly the benefits of medication. His office staff is courteous and very knowledgeable and can usually provide you answers without having to wait for a call back. Overall - AMAZING Physician and Staff

I have been a patient Dr. Okezie’s for more than 10 Years. As a patient of several doctors, Dr. Okezie is top two. The staff in the office are always on point with any question I have, they are all super nice and very respectful. I have recommended this office too many people and will continue to do so.

I see Dr. Phetamine and she is awesome if you need any injections she’s the one to go to. She does a superb job and Dr. O you couldn’t ask for a better doctor. I recommend all my friends and family to them because they address all your needs they take care of you. If medicine isn’t working, they figure out what will work and I’ve been seeing them for two years and couldn’t ask for a better doctor. I won’t even change my insurance I pay higher insurance just so I can see them, but they are top notch in their game. I recommend them to anyone.

I’ve been to both offices. One was closer to where I worked previously and the Baytown location is closer to home. I’ve been treated amazing at both offices. The staff are kind and attentive every time. I would recommend this practice to friends and family.

Dr Okezie ‘s Team are very friendly and caring. They answer all questions you may have. I had a procedure today and I felt so comfortable and confident regarding their expertise. Once you walk through the front door. The front desk staff know your name before you can say it. If you are in pain make an appointment and see for yourself.

Had a temporary nerve block for neck pain. Very professional and explained procedure fully. Had a sedative to keep calm and all went well. Rested at home for restore day and looking forward to successful to the pain management.

Aside from the wait, my experience was great. As far as waiting the extra time for my procedure, I believe everything happens for a reason, therefore, I feel as though my time came when it was supposed to.

I’ve been a patient for about 3 years now and my experiences are always great. Everyone is kindly and respectful. They listen to my concerns and together we come up with a treatment plan that will help give me the most pain relief.

Everything was great. Staff was very friendly , professional and helpful. All in all a pleasant experience if you are in pain. The only thing I could suggest would be possibly xrays or CT scan on site. It would make things easier than having to make other appointments then come back. Older folks like myself like things to be convenient. Im not criticizing just giving ideas.

Today I went in to have my first nerve block on my left knee. I have had the two nerve blocks on my right. Then the they provided some relief. And then had the procedure to burn the nerves. Before this I had severe pain. I worked for several airlines over a period of 46 years. Bouncing heavy suitcases off my knees., after two sets of total knee replacements which went well as far as movement. But still had nerve pain. This procedure he did burning and killing the arteries and nerves below the knee cap. I was told it would take about six weeks for them to die. Today Dec 30 was the of the six weeks. I told Dr.Okezie I have no pain in my right knee. I can get up after it was done straight from a chair. Before I struggled to get out of a chair. All of his team is GREAT. I feel so at ease when I arrive there. From checking in, getting my vitals taken. And the Nurse who goes over how I am doing with pain. And Doctor Okezie is the Best in this field in this area. He has a great record of 1,2,3 years or more of no pair. I said if I could get 6 months, I would be a happy camper. I still have my left leg to do . But being up all times of the night with pain that keep me awake. Now I only wake up a couple of times a night. And I have my left knee to do. I have been like this for years. Thank God I was referred to him. I can’t wait to get at least a good 8 hours of sleep. Vera Champagne

Dr. Okezie is a very caring doctor who goes above and beyond to ensure his patients are taken care of and have a thorough understanding of their medical issues. His compassion is unmatched. He even called me personally while he was grocery shopping to clear up questions I had. I 100% recommend him. Also, Mary is amazing!!

The employees are very kind and they work hard to reduce the pain I am suffering with while receiving the procedures I need to avoid having to go through a major surgery that Im afraid of going thru at my age and other health issues.

After the initial consultation and examination I felt sure that I was in the right place. And l have to admit I am doing so much better after following the procedure and meds.

I had my 1st appointment today at the Baytown office. The receptionist was very friendly and patient. The PA clearly and fully listened and explained why previous treatments with another provider were ineffective and together we developed a different plan. The gentleman who scheduled my follow up appointment was very pleasant (and obviously the person who keeps everything running so smoothly ;) ). The very sweet lady who called to schedule my procedure was amazing despite my nerves and helped me relax. After literal decades of dealing with providers and staff who act like you are an inconvenience to them it is so very refreshing to find an office where every member of the staff seems to enjoy their job and seem to really care about helping their patients.

My experience at Interventional Sport and Pain Management under Dr Okezie has been a very positive one. The treatment plan well explained and followed. I had the best experience today at Interventional Sports and pain medicine. I was very anxious about getting my neck injections done but the nurse and anesthesiologist were very comforting and patient. They spent time with me to prepare me for injections (iv etc…) the whole process was nice and peaceful. Dr Okezie is top notch! He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to create a care plan based on your needs. He also has a wonderful bedside manner. The front desk ladies and GiGi and JP are awesome! They always make you feel like you’ve known them for years. I like relationships like that with my care providers. My pain has become manageable since seeing Dr Okezie and Staff and I am so happy they are my care team.

Dr. Okezie is a great Dr. Great on back pain issues. Staff friendly but there not very good in returning calls, passing messages and confirming appt. times. but other than that it's all great.

I just took my shots yesterday but woke up with no pain today. It's a great thing to wake up not feeling those aches and pains. Caring, professional service

Only bad feedback is that I had to wait 2 hours to be called for my procedure. Staff and front desk is super nice. Practitioners amazing and kind, nurses and anesthesiologist and lady that puts my port in for anesthesia is the sweetest person I’ve ever met! Love this place, they really care about you and my new treatments have begun to work finally. They really know how to get to the root of the problem! No wonder my Dr recommends Dr Okezie and his staff, they’re the best ever!

Dr Okezie is a phenomenal pain physician, the best infact! On my first visit I sat there and poured my heart out and he listened and believed me and took my care very seriously. It's not easy to do what he does but he don't play! Jp is so kind and understanding always has a gret attitude with all the patients too. Compassionate. Doesn't just dispense meds, but works hard on mitigating pain from a head on car wreck I was in. He also is constantly monitoring patients so we don't become damaged by the treatments or turn into addicts. I really appreciate that. I am a professional in natural medicine, so do not go for Big Pharma. But after two years of doctors and natural medicine not helping enough, Dr Okezie was able to get rid of excruciating sciatic pain I had with flouroscopically guided injections. Three did the trick. Even my chiro recommended him. Just did one now on my crushed cervical spine and can't wait to see how well it turns out!

Dr Okezie is a wonderful caring doctor. I am having pain in my hip and groin area. He ordered x-rays to be sure what I am experiencing is bursa , the the plan is to go forward with cortisone shots. I'm so grateful to Dr Okezie. He is not going to leave me in pain, and that is what most doctors will do.

Dr. Okezie is one of the best pain months. doctors in the Houston area. I have been with him for 14 yrs and I plan on being with him until I no longer need to use pain mgnt. He is very professional and cares very deeply for all his patients. I moved along with him when he left Advanced pain mgnt and started his own office.

Awesome staff Yes we had some hick ups with insurance but I think that’s normal The Dr. is very professional about care and trying to make it happen to get you out of pain, and the staff makes you feel at home, even if we don’t get my pain fixed we gave it 100%

Dr Okezie seemed very knowledgeable. It was a pleasant visit. This was my first visit, I haven’t had any treatments yet so we’ll see how it goes from here. The only complaint is the waiting time to see the doctor was somewhat excessive.

Dr. O'Kezie is a great doc very helpful he treats me with compassion and cares for his patients.Today I had to go in for an office visit before my routine scheduled monthly appointment.I was having excruiating pains which I never had experienced before I just had to see Dr. O'Kezie. My doctor was super busy with special procedures but he treated me equal to the rest of his patients. His PA offered to see me but I explained to her I would wait all afternoon if he would see me. Dr. O'Kezie came to examine me in between his other patients. I noticed he looked tired but he gave me his complete attention. He made me feel better as he gave me a diagnosis. He prescribed me some musle relaxers. And reassured me he would see me in 2 weeks for a followup. This doctor is above the rest of my doctors. I give Dr. O'Kezie a high rating he's one of a kind.Today I saw him swamped with patients in every room but he didn't forget me in his clinic. My other doctor forgot I was waiting for him. I was left behind he left to go work at the hospital. I'm very forunate to have found Dr. O'Kezie , he's the best in Baytown. I recommend my doctor to anybody who wants a good doctor.

Top notch doctor

Dr Okezie is the Best. I had Back Surgery, with a well known Back Surgeon in a Hospital, in Tyler Texas, which the surgery went terribly bad, and after 4 “ corrective” follow up surgeries, was left bed ridden, with very Serious infections, and serious back pains, with 6 months of services with Infectious Disease Doctors, and was advised by the Surgeon that they “ did the best, that they could do, under the circumstances”. The circumstances were that before the surgery, with all of the MRI’s and X-Rays, the Doctors saw what the injury was, advised how they planned to make my pains better, thru Surgery. After 4 consecutive follow up surgeries, they sent me home with bags and bags of Prescriptions, and IV medications stating, they tried their best. I moved back to South Texas, and went to see if Doctor Okezie could help me with what the Dr’s had left me with. He is Great, and quickly assessed my delima, advised what he could do for me thru Pain Management. Dr. Okezie quickly assessed my pains, advised me what he would suggest with my situation, and implemented the plans. I have been a patient under Dr.Okezie now for 4 years, and I am very Satisfied with Dr. Okezie, and the medical attention which I have from him, and his Staff. I am allot better now since I have been under Dr. Okezie’s care, and I surely would suggest using Him as a great medical physician for others in need of services.

I just had an appointment with Dr. Okezie this afternoon. He’s always been very careful about finding the right pain interventions, caring not only about pain relief but also about the safety of his patients. As a nurse, I’ve long been aware of the fine line between pain relief and medication safety. This doctor carefully maintains a good balance on both sides of that line, and I have a great deal of respect for him.

Dr. Okezie & his staff ate both very personable & professional. Much more so than Dr. Carter whom I've lost all respect for.

I just wanted to add to my below review. I’ve had 6 lumbar surgeries from L3-4 to L5-S1, a neck fusion & knee surgery. I was told , I needed a 3 level lumbar fusion in order to function in life, but as I said under the care of Dr Okezie, I am now living life! He’s experienced & knowledgeable in all aspects of the spine.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Okezie for many years. As my back pain changed over the years, he changed my plan of care to keep my pain at bay & keep me functioning.
